Ground rule (make sure you have had a read of the rules to at least know what they are)

So that it is absolutely clear, anyone that says they are "the one true power" are joking around, Telling lies or have an ego complex.
Because very simply There is NO one power to rule them all
, NO over all Empire or kingdom. NO One king or Emperor to rule you all, There are multiple kingdoms, Queendom's, Empires, Towns, Sites, Villages and Cities. All with their own leadership methods. Some are allies some are not. The reason for this is, it is unfair for a number of role players to to have to wait around on one person to progress RPs to claim a title or ruler-ship or power base, and the same vice versa it is unfair to the one person who may want to RP something else other then defending from an attack all the time. All so the one rule to rule them all system encourages spot lighting and that is against the rules in its self! (See chat rules page and scroll down to RP rule 6)

The Chats World

Quick run down:

The planets name is Chaotica, the most common meeting ground is the main area, a large clearing with a huge mystical and sacred oak tree that protects its self from all harms done to it is large enough to have a village built into it at it's centre this has become known as oak village, above this is the lake (sometimes called dragon lake), and the whole area is surrounded by dense magical forest some are elven lands with other parts being Fey land or more sinister lands of undead and other creatures of evil. To the south of the oak tree it opens out into a huge meadow like clearing commonly know as the “Main area” this the main meeting area.

Back story:
The world of Chaotica is a strange tail, not of one world but many. Chaotica is like many realms is a a nexus of reality in the many realms. Many realities and time cross this world. There are 4 known magical, temporal and reality rifts on the world and these rifts are how unwary plainer travellers find themselves trapped on the strange world of Chaotica. Even those who fall victim to magical mishaps, shifts in time or paradoxes often fine themselves in the strange land of Chaotica. One could say that it is the strange exit point to which the victims of these things find themselves.
Chaotica its-self is said to be 5 or more worlds mashed into 1 by a handful of gods who found themselves displaced at the end of their worlds time. These creator gods not wishing an end to their peoples, worked together forming from the ashes of the old the birth of a new world, this world has had many names in it's time with it's most current name being Chaotica.
This has given rise to the religion of the phoenix a faith system and centres on 7 creator gods, who among a number of their roles are often known as the Phoenix of death and rebirth, The heart of nature, life light and hope, Death luck Fate and shadows, Justice, Magic and the Overseer. The 7 creator gods in turn allow for sub gods with their own domains some good, some neutral some evil thus allowing for religious diversity as well as to help encourage mortal races to live, thrive, grow and become independent in their own rights. Some of these gods even still live among mortal kind but try to avoid to much contact to avoid meddling in mortal affairs to deeply.

Tech level of the chat

The Tech level ranges widely from place to place, character to character so it can be anywhere from basic triable tools, stone age things, feudal Japan, right up to sci-fi level stuff like star trek/star wars. Most are mixed,
Remember the golden rules here. Tech and magic are like Ice and fire they are each others opposites.
In all cases please provide back story or RP out getting your tech or items not just random flash quick less then 1 mins or 1 post Rps, but decent story telling ones. Make it a journey of it's own in acquiring and making these items not just instantly have them, make it interesting, because there is nothing more annoying then trying to RP with a power gamer or god moder who pulls stuff out of nowhere making everything unfair for everyone else.

Magic-Tech or Magi-Tech

There is something called Magic-Tech, in FFXII terms means things like Nethercite or magicite, which has the property of absorbing magic and turning it into an energy source. this its self is highly unstable, with Nethercite being the most unstable of the two. Magic-tech is no different, it renders it's user unable to use magic, while it uses magic as an unstable energy source.

Anti-Magic Tech
Often using the same items as Magic tech, Anti-magic tech is designed by magic users or jealous non magic users as a means to supress magic, there by stopping magic users from using their magic. Depending on how this as been deployed will depend on how the tech is used as it comes in both portable and stationary forms. The portable kind could be something as mundane as a wrist watch used to disabled a magic user or to generate a field to disable the magic users magic. The stationary form is where it has been built into buildings, such as a prison designed to hold magic users or a town or city where magic maybe banned.

Magic Device
There is another item called “Magic device”. This requires the person learns how to use it, to use this item you do not have to be magically inclined or have any magical ability to use a magic device. As a magic device can be something like a staff or gem that has a set number of spells held in it or just a type of spell held within it basically works like a storage device for spells that anyone can use but can only be used correctly by someone who knows how to use it. (this can sometimes include enchanted items.)

Magical weapons, armour or items
Technically a form of magical device the fall into 4 categories as a result.. those being Enchanted, Cursed, Sentient and God items.
they come in a range of Rarity: Common. Uncommon. Rare. Very Rare. Master crafted, Legendary. Wondrous. Divine and Requires Attunement (needs an enchantment adding or attuning to its user)
Some magic items can enhance the power of a magic user for a limited time before it is destroyed or needs recharging. This can sometimes be volatile and even deadly in much the same way as Nethercite if an inexperienced person uses it or it is unstable in some way.

Enchanted items
Enchanted items cover a wide range of magical items, from weapons, armour, scrolls, books, house hold items, Potions, poisons, card decks and many other items that can be enchanted.
These items are created by master smiths, artisans or
craftsmen with magical equipment and training for making magical items in one shape or form.
These items have neither intelligence to make them sentient or have any alignment restrictions since they are basic form of magical items, which are commonly found in the world. Depending on the type of magical spell used in the creation depends on the type of magical item created.  is a sword known as the flame brand a blade that uses a fire spell giving the sword it's name. Or a bag of holding, these are bags that basically have a near endless amount of storage space in them but still have a weight limit based on the users strength.

Cursed items
These are magical items that are created to cause damaging effects on the user for either amusement or death. The biggest example is the belt of gender which makes the user go to the opposite gender to what they originally were. The only way to remove these nasty cursed items is to use Remove curse spell from the temples and then it depends on the level of the spell caster doing it or it could also be story development which makes the said character go on a journey to remove it.

Sentient/Intelligent Items
some weapons, armours and items come under the category of sentient items, These are items that technically have a spirit or entity held within them to grant the user power, or to trap its next victim and so are much less limited then magic items. however your mental will power must be stronger then the entity within this sentient item or it will control and or possess you.
Exception to the rule is if the item was made of you or for you that you and this item are in unity.

God items
These are items of power given to a character by a deity of some kind and as such are not to be given out like a free for all at an all you can eat. These items are usually bestowed onto a champion/avatar of the deity for a limited time on the mortal realm often returning to the Deity after the death of the person it was bestowed upon unless other things come to pass or stories unfold that means it falls into the hands of another.

Psionic / Psychic Technology
Just to give an idea this would include things like seen in star wars such as the jedi light sabre, Or X-men with their implants,
This follows a line much like Magi-Tech only instead of rendering the user unable to use their powers the Psi user can create and manipulate technology that is powered by their own psionic power, whether in part or entirely. Using this technology, they can augment or focus their psionic energy, or in some cases even utilise psionics in ways that they cannot use it without this technology. The big Draw back to this tech being you must be a psionic based person to use it, and in some cases can give to much power to the user thus rendering them powerless for a time, knock them into a coma or even kill them if used poorly or incorrectly.

Normal Technology
This covers everything from stoneage tools right up to sci-fi tech. Depending on the level of development of an area the level of Tech will variety wildly.  There are some races that are so advanced with their technology they guard it jealousy to keep it out of the hands of the technologically impaired. As a rule the common garden Technology is a result of the hard work of the non magic user but to someone less technologically advanced it might seem like magic. So you are looking at many things that can come under this category. where those who do use magic many will view this kind of technology as an abomination or an affront to nature. This varies from race to race place to place, character to character.
